Het Gideon monument aan de rozengracht in zutphen is het middelpunt van de doden herdenking op 4mei.

Voor dat men samenkomt bij het monument is er een herdenkings samenkomst met toespraken en het voorlezen van gedichten in de burgerzaal.

Het Gideon-monument in Zutphen is opgericht ter nagedachtenis aan de stadsgenoten die bij het bombardement op de binnenstad in 1944 zijn omgekomen, aan gesneuvelde Canadese soldaten en aan Zutphense Indiëgangers.

De groepen die hier herdacht worden zijn:

Burgerslachtoffers,Geallieerde militairen,Militairen in dienst van het Ned.Kon. Na 1945,Algemeen.

Het monument is onthuld op 10 april 1950

 

The Gideon monument on the Rozengracht in Zutphen is the center of the commemoration of the dead on May 4.

Before gathering at the monument, there is a memorial meeting with speeches and the reading of poems in the civic hall.

The Gideon monument in Zutphen was erected in memory of the fellow citizens who died in the bombing of the city center in 1944, Canadian soldiers killed in action and Zutphen Indiégangers

De tuin van bezinning ligt achter het koetshuis van de  politieacademie Huize 't Gelre in Warnsveld.

Het is een Nationaal monument voor de politie mensen die tijdens de dienst zijn omgekomen.

The garden of reflection is located behind the coach house of the Huize 't Gelre police academy in Warnsveld.

It is a National Monument to the police people who died while on duty.
